Taylor Swift managed to break yet another record after dropping the Opalite music video on Spotify. With the new release, the singer broke her own record of 110 billion streams on the music streaming platform.

As per reports, the Life of a Showgirl crooner has officially become the first female artist in the history of Spotify to surpass 120 billion streams across all credits.

Taylor Swift Breaks Spotify Record

Taylor Swift achieved this new feat after dropping the music video of her song Opalite from her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl. The quirky love anthem

has become the most viewed video in 24 hours in the history of Spotify as well as Apple Music.

Spotify announced the news on its official Instagram handle. “On February 6th, 2026, Taylor Swift’s Opalite became the most-streamed music video in a single day in Spotify history.”

The Making Of The Opalite Music Video

The widely acclaimed music video features Swift alongside Greta Lee, Jodie Turner-Smith, Domhnall Gleeson, Lewis Capaldi, and Cillian Murphy in a cameo appearance.

In a long note shared on social media, Taylor Swift revealed that she had invited the entire star-studded cast of The Graham Norton Show episode that aired in October. She appeared in the episode to promote her album.

Recalling her appearance, Swift shared, “I remember thinking I got ridiculously lucky with the group I was paired with. Cillian Murphy, Domhnall Gleeson, Greta Lee, Jodie Smith and Lewis Capaldi. All people whose work I’ve admired from afar.”

She continued, “I had this thought that it would be wild if all of our fellow guests on the Graham Norton show that night, including Graham himself, could be a part of it too. Like a school group project, but for adults, and it isn’t mandatory.”

“To my delight, everyone from the show made the effort to time-travel back to the 90s with us and help with this video. You might even recognise some friendly faces from The Eras Tour,” Swift wrote on Instagram. The full official video of Opalite was released on Sunday, February 8, coinciding with the Super Bowl.
