The Devil Wears Prada 2 OTT Release: Here's When You Can Watch Anne Hathaway, Meryl Streep's Sequel In India

Twenty years after The Devil Wears Prada gave us unforgettable one-liners, iconic fashion moments and the legendary Miranda Priestly, fans are finally getting ready to step back into the glamorous world of Runway. And yes, the wait to watch the sequel at home won’t be a long one.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 is all set to stream on Disney+ and Hulu internationally. In India, the much-awaited sequel will premiere on JioHotstar from July 29, 2026.

The sequel picks up nearly two decades after the events of the original film. This time, Anne Hathaway returns as Andy Sachs, who is no longer the nervous assistant fans first met in 2006. Andy is now a feature editor at Runway magazine and finds herself back in Miranda Priestly’s

world.

The story follows Andy as she navigates a rapidly changing media industry, where print publications are fighting to survive in the digital age. Along the way, she teams up with her former boss, Miranda Priestly, played once again by Meryl Streep, as they face corporate takeovers, shrinking budgets, artificial intelligence and the changing face of fashion.

The film explores how traditional publishing is trying to stay relevant while balancing creativity, legacy and constant technological change.

The original The Devil Wears Prada, released in 2006, became a worldwide favourite and turned into a pop culture classic. Based on Lauren Weisberger’s bestselling novel, the film earned Meryl Streep an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress and continues to be one of Hollywood’s most-loved fashion dramas.

Alongside Meryl Streep as Miranda Priestly and Anne Hathaway as Andrea Sachs, the sequel also brings back Emily Blunt as Emily Charlton and Stanley Tucci as Nigel Kipling. The cast further includes Kenneth Branagh as Stuart Simmons, Justin Theroux as Benji Barnes, B. J. Novak as Jay Ravitz, Simone Ashley as Amari Mari, Tracie Thoms as Lily and Patrick Brammall as Peter, among others.

The sequel has once again been directed by David Frankel, who also helmed the beloved 2006 original.
