Star India and Punjab Kings pacer Arshdeep Singh’s latest reel has gone viral on social media, after he took a subtle dig at Lucknow Super Giants, following PBKS’ commanding 54-run win.
‘Muskuraiye, aap Lucknow mein hain is a tagline linked with the City of Nawabs, but Arshdeep
gave it a witty twist after his team dismantled Lucknow Super Giants in an Indian Premier League 2026 clash on Sunday, April 19.‘Ghabraiye, aap Mullanpur mein hain’, said Arshdeep in a reel posted on his Instagram account after the match in New Chandigarh. Watch the video here:

Meanwhile, Priyansh Arya, one of the nation’s most exciting T20 batting prospects alongside Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, blazed his way to a brilliant
93 as Punjab Kings thrashed Lucknow Super Giants by 54 runs.
The 24-year-old from Delhi, Arya, produced a blistering 93 off just 37 balls and combined with Cooper Connolly, one of Australia’s most exciting next-generation batting talents, who showed his class with a superb 87 off 45 deliveries, as Punjab Kings piled up a daunting 254/7 in their 20 overs.
In reply, Lucknow Super Giants, despite a good Powerplay that fetched 61 runs, were never in contention as they finished on 200/5 in 20 overs.
The likes of skipper Rishabh Pant (43 off 23) and Mitchell Marsh (40 off 28) put up a fight, but their intent and execution fell short of the explosive six-hitting display delivered by Arya and Connolly.
Arshdeep gave away 41 runs in his four overs, while dismissing a well-set Pant.
Vyshak Vijaykumar (1/30 in 4 overs) was brilliant with his pace-on and pace-off variations that stopped both Marsh and Pant in their tracks.
Once both were gone, wrapping up the game was a mere formality for Shreyas Iyer’s men, itching to go one better than their previous runners-up finish in 2025.
