Roston Chase is leading the West Indies in a two-match Test series against Sri Lanka. On Day 3 of the series opener at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua, the 34-year-old all-rounder from Barbados scored a century for the hosts. The hundred on Saturday (June 27) helped Chase enter the record books.
Chase is only the second West Indies captain after Kraigg Brathwaite to score a century in a World Test Championship (WTC) match. Brathwaite captained the West Indies in 32 WTC matches and scored three centuries, while the ongoing first Test against Sri Lanka is Chase’s ninth WTC match.
Apart from Chase and Brathwaite, Jason Holder has also captained the West Indies in the WTC.
