Star India pacer Arshdeep Singh on Saturday, January 31, became the bowler to pick the most expensive five-wicket haul in T20Is, after he conceded a whopping 51 runs in his four overs in the fifth T20I against
New Zealand in Trivandrum, but India still managed to win by 46 runs.
Arshdeep opened the bowling and conceded 17 runs in the first over before dismissing Tim Seifert on the final ball of the over. In his second over, i.e New Zealand’s third, Arshdeep conceded 23 runs, as Finn Allen smashed him for four boundaries and one six.
Arshdeep returned to bowl the 12th over and dismissed a set Rachin Ravindra on the first ball. On the third, he dismissed Mitchell Santner for a two-ball duck.
Arshdeep then bowled the 16th over, only to concede twin boundaries from Kyle Jamieson on the first two balls. The former then exacted his revenge by dismissing Jamieson on the third ball. On the fifth ball, he dismissed Daryl Mitchell to finish with 4-0-51-5.
