Australia’s T20I captain Mitchell Marsh is playing for Sunrisers Leeds in The Hundred 2026, and on Tuesday (August 11), he scored 32 runs off 23 balls for the Leeds-based franchise in their match against Manchester Super Giants at Old Trafford in Manchester.
Marsh’s 32-run knock in Sunrisers Leeds’ final league match of the ongoing season took his tally to 406 runs in the 2026 edition of The Hundred. He is the first overseas player and only the second cricketer overall to score 400 runs in a single edition of the men’s Hundred.
England’s James Vince was the first player to achieve the feat. He played 10 matches for Southern Brave in the 2024 edition of The Hundred and scored 424 runs.

During his stay at
the crease against Manchester Super Giants on Tuesday, Marsh smashed five fours and a six. His only six, which came off Noor Ahmad’s bowling, took his tally of T20 sixes to 94 in 36 matches in 2026.
No Australian player has hit more sixes in T20 cricket in a calendar year than Marsh. In 2025, Tim David also smashed 94 sixes in 56 T20 matches.

In 2026, apart from playing for Sunrisers Leeds in The Hundred and Australia in T20Is, Marsh has also represented Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026 and Perth Scorchers in the 2025-26 edition of the Big Bash League.
Marsh helped Perth Scorchers win the BBL title earlier this year, but under his captaincy, Australia failed to qualify for the Super 8 stage of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, while Lucknow Super Giants finished 10th in the IPL points table.
If Sunrisers Leeds beat Manchester Super Giants on Tuesday in Manchester, Marsh will be guaranteed at least one more match in this year’s Hundred. However, if SRL lose, their campaign could come to an end.
