Sitar virtuoso Rishab Rikhiram Sharma is set to return to Indian stages with a massive 10-city tour as part of his ongoing Asia Tour 2026. Titled Sitar For Mental Health India Tour 2026, the upcoming run
will see the neo-classical musician perform across major cities between March and April next year, reaffirming his commitment to blending music, mindfulness, and emotional well-being.
Presented by Kotak Mahindra Bank – Solitaire, the tour will travel through Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, Kolkata, and New Delhi, marking one of Sharma’s most expansive India tours to date.
A Homecoming After A Postponed 2025 Tour
The announcement carries special significance following the postponement of Sharma’s 2025 India tour amid geopolitical tensions. The 2026 leg is positioned as a long-awaited homecoming, arriving at a moment when Indian classical and neo-classical music is witnessing renewed interest among younger audiences seeking therapeutic and meditative experiences.
Promoted and produced by Team Innovation and District by Zomato, the India tour follows the global success of Sharma’s Sitar For Mental Health concerts across the US, Canada, Europe, and the UK, where the project has sparked meaningful conversations around mental health through music.
Bridging Tradition With Contemporary Sensibility
The youngest and last disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar, Rishab Rikhiram Sharma is widely regarded as one of the most compelling torchbearers of the sitar today. His work blends traditional Indian ragas with contemporary textures and improvisational elements, making classical music accessible to modern, global audiences.
Each concert on the tour is designed as a multi-sensory, immersive experience, combining classical frameworks, cross-genre soundscapes, and moments of guided mindfulness. Audiences can expect a carefully curated setlist featuring new compositions alongside signature pieces such as Shiv Kailash, Chanakya, Tandavam, The Burning Ghat, Varaha Roopam, and Shankara.
