Adivi Sesh To Shoot High-Octane G2 Sequence On Massive Hyderabad Set | Report

Adivi Sesh is all set to slip back into spy mode. The actor will return to the sets of G2 in July as the makers kick off an important new shooting schedule in Hyderabad. With the sequel to Goodachari steadily coming together, the team is now gearing up for one of the film’s biggest phases.

According to Hindustan Times, the upcoming schedule will be shot on a huge specially built set in Hyderabad. The sequence is said to be packed with action and will also bring Emraan Hashmi and Wamiqa Gabbi back on set alongside Sesh.

A source tells HT, “A huge dramatic sequence is being filmed on a massive set in Hyderabad. Emraan Hashmi and Wamiqa Gabbi will also join Sesh in this next schedule which is expected to start in July.”

The source further reveals that the team has been putting in long hours to prepare for this crucial leg of the shoot. “The team has been working hard day and night for this next schedule. It is one of the most crucial schedules of the film and there will high tech action shot. Sesh knows the kind of love fans have for Goodachari, so he is ensuring that the sequel matches to that expectations. The next schedule is expected to last a few weeks.”

Meanwhile, Adivi Sesh didn’t reveal much about what fans can expect but confirmed that shooting resumes next month. “I’m looking forward to getting back on set in July because this phase includes some of the most important portions of the film. We’ve spent a lot of time building this film carefully, and now we’re entering the next stretch.”

He added, “The response to the Goodachari franchise has always motivated us to raise our own standards, and that’s exactly what we’re trying to do with G2. I know fans have been waiting patiently, and I hope the finished film rewards that patience.”

Directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi, G2 has already been shot across Poland, Hungary and Chennai. The Hyderabad schedule is expected to continue for a few weeks as the team films some of the movie’s most important scenes.

G2 is an upcoming Telugu spy action thriller film directed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi in his directorial debut. It carries forward the story of an Indian spy on an overseas mission to fight for his country. It is a sequel to Goodachari (2018), with Adivi Sesh reprising his role. The film also stars Emraan Hashmi, Wamiqa Gabbi and Madhu Shalini.

The project was officially announced by Sesh in December 2018. However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the film faced delays. The film is being made on a budget of Rs 100 crore.
