Jun 9 (PTI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday approved an increase in the daily allowance – Duty Call-up Allowance (DCA) – for Home Guards from Rs 639 to Rs 650, an official release said.
It said the revised allowance will come into effect retrospectively from January 1, 2026. Earlier on July 1, 2025, the state government had raised the DCA for home guards from Rs 623 to Rs 639.
The state government recently announced an additional 2 per cent increase in dearness allowance for its regular employees with effect from January 1, 2026.
Keeping in view the interest of home guards and the DA revision for regular employees, Majhi approved the fresh increase in the DCA for Home Guards, the release said. PTI AAM NN
