Veteran Bollywood actor Dharmendra passed away on Monday morning at his Mumbai residence, leaving the film industry in mourning. His last rites were conducted at the Pawan Hans crematorium, where several
prominent figures from Bollywood gathered to bid him farewell. Celebrities later visited the Deol home to offer their condolences to the grieving family during this difficult time.
Following the funeral, Kajol, Sanjay Khan, Zayed Khan, Sussanne Khan, Shamita Shetty, Shilpa Shetty Kundra, Raj Kundra and Farhan Akhtar were among the many who arrived at Dharmendra’s residence to pay their respects. Several fans also gathered outside the Deol home for a final glimpse and to honour the legendary actor.

Earlier, Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Abhishek Bachchan, Ranveer Singh, Govinda, Shabana Azmi, Anil Kapoor, and Jackie Shroff, among others, were seen at Mumbai’s Pawan Hans crematorium.

Many of his close friends in the industry shared emotional notes. Amitabh Bachchan took to his social media to mourn the demise of Dharmendra. He wrote, “Another valiant Giant has left us .. left the arena .. leaving behind a silence with an unbearable sound .. Dharam ji .. .. the epitome of greatness, ever linked not only for his renowned physical presence, but for the largeness of his heart , and its most endearing simplicity.”
He further stated that, while the film industry changes every few years, Dharmendra’s warmth, charisma, and modesty remain constant.

Shah Rukh Khan took to X and wrote, “Rest in Peace Dharam ji. You were nothing short of a father figure to me… thank u for showering me with blessings and love the way you did. An inconsolable and irreplaceable loss to not just his family, but to cinema and film lovers world over. You are immortal… and your soul will live through your films and your beautiful family forever. Love you always.”
Dharmendra had been receiving medical care at home after being discharged from Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital, where he had been admitted due to a prolonged illness. Doctors monitored him daily, and though his condition showed brief signs of improvement following his discharge, he ultimately succumbed to his illness.
