Saurabh Dubey is leading Kolkata Knight Riders‘ fast bowling attack in their IPL 2026 match against Mumbai Indians on Wednesday (May 20). In the fixture taking place at Eden Gardens in Kolkata against the Mumbai-based franchise led by Hardik Pandya, Saurabh Dubey has picked up two wickets so far. He opened his wicket account by removing Rohit Sharma on the fifth ball of the fourth over of MI innings and then accounted for the dismissal of India’s T20I captain, Suryakumar Yadav, on the third ball of the sixth over of MI’s innings.

While Rohit was caught by Cameron Green in an attempt to play an aerial shot of Dubey’s bowling, he breached Surya’s defence in his third over of the match.

who is MI’s highest run scorer in the IPL, faced a total of 13 balls and with the help of two sixes scored 15 runs. On the other hand, Surya played a knock of 15 runs from just 6 balls. He scored two fours and one six.

The wickets of Rohit and Surya are the biggest ones for Saurabh in his T20 career. Prior to the ongoing fixture, he has played only two IPL matches for KKR and dismissed one batter. He picked up his maiden IPL wicket on May 16 in Kolkata against Gujarat Titans by dismissing Jos Buttler. The legendary English wicketkeeper-batter was caught by Ramandeep Singh.
