Jul 4 (PTI) Former Mizoram minister F Malsawma died on Saturday evening after battling liver cancer, family members said.
The 79-year-old veteran politician breathed his last at a hospital in Aizawl, where he had been undergoing treatment since June 29 following deterioration in his health.
He was diagnosed with liver cancer in 2025.
Malsawma had served in governments led by both the People’s Conference (PC) and the Mizo National Front (MNF) in the capacity of a cabinet minister.
Governor Vijay Kumar Singh expressed grief over Malsawma’s demise, describing him as a dedicated public servant, whose contributions to the state’s progress and development would be remembered with deep respect and gratitude. PTI CORR RBT
