Does Lamine Yamal know he’s going to win the Ballon d’Or tonight?
Barcelona’s teenage sensation is gearing up in style for the 2025 Ballon d’Or ceremony, where he stands toe-to-toe with PSG’s Ousmane Dembele, gunning for the coveted award.
The star-studded event will take place tonight at the Theatre du Châtelet in Paris, and Yamal’s preparations signal his confidence in securing a historic win.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Yamal’s entourage has reserved an exclusive space in Paris for a private celebration should he be crowned the world’s best player for the 2024-25 season.
Around 20 family members will accompany the 17-year-old winger, all dressed in Dolce & Gabbana ensembles. Even his father, Mounir Nasraoui, traveled ahead of time to ensure
every detail of the party is flawless, indicating that the young Spaniard and his circle are expecting a night to remember.
Yamal’s 2024-25 campaign
The Spanish wonderkid featured in 55 matches for Barcelona, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists, playing a pivotal role in helping the Catalan giants secure both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
His Champions League season was similarly impressive: in 13 matches, Yamal scored 5 goals and added 3 assists. He also became the youngest player to both score and assist in a Champions League match in the Round of 16 against Benfica.
In the same competition, he became the youngest Barcelona player ever to reach 100 competitive appearances, a milestone celebrated during the first leg of the semifinals against Inter Milan.
However, Yamal faces stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain’s Ousmane Dembélé, who leads many early predictions for the award. Barcelona teammate Raphinha also remains a contender, making the race fiercely competitive.
Despite this, Yamal’s presence at the ceremony, accompanied by his stylishly dressed family, underscores his ambition to claim football’s top individual honor.
