Veteran actor Anupam Kher had a special mid-air encounter with music maestro Shankar Mahadevan.
Taking to Instagram on Saturday, Kher shared a candid video from the flight, where he was seated next to Mahadevan.
The heartwarming moment has now gone viral.

In the video, Anupam Kher joyfully introduces his co-passenger, saying, “See who is sitting in the flight with me, the great, the greatest Shankar. It’s fun whenever I meet you. My favourite.”
The video then pans to Mahadevan, who responds with an impromptu rendition of the Shiva Stotram, and says, “Whenever I see him, I sing this because I get the power from him.”
Kher, visibly touched, adds, “Whenever I post something about my exercise or about my pooja, I put this. It’s fun. Your energy is amazing. And today both of you are looking good. I even have your reflection.”
He also praised Mahadevan’s newest venture, his authentic South Indian restaurant ‘Malgudi’, which opened in Dubai and Mumbai. The actor went on to promise that he would definitely visit the outlet soon.
“Authentic South Indian restaurant. I am happy to sit with you. You are such a great guy,” Kher concludes warmly in the video.

Anupam Kher’s Latest Project
Anupam Kher is currently drawing attention for his intense portrayal of Mahatma Gandhi in The Bengal Files. Released on September 5, the film delves into the 1946 Great Calcutta Killings and the Noakhali riots, shedding light on a turbulent chapter in Indian history.
Directed by Vivek Agnihotri, the film features Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and others. It is the final instalment in Agnihotri’s The Files trilogy, following The Tashkent Files (2019) and The Kashmir Files (2022).

Next, Anupam Kher will be seen sharing the screen with Prabhas in the romantic comedy-horror The Raja Saab. Directed by Maruthi and produced by People Media Factory, the film is scheduled for a theatrical release on December 5 and will be available in five languages, Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
Alongside Prabhas and Anupam Kher, the film has an ensemble cast including Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, Malavika Mohanan, Brahmanandam, Riddhi Kumar, Yogi Babu, Jisshu Sengupta, Boman Irani and others.
