Batting superstar Virat Kohli has entered his name in the history books on Sunday, April 5, by breaking Rohit Sharma’s world record of scoring most runs against one team in T20s. The 36-year-old right-handed batter needed two runs against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday to go past Rohit’s tally of runs against Kolkata Knight Riders, and he achieved the objective by taking two runs on the fifth ball of the first over of RCB’s innings in the IPL 2026 match taking place at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
The match No. 11 of IPL 2026 between RCB and CSK is Kohli’s 37th T20 match for RCB against the Chennai-based franchise. He now has 1162* runs to his name against them in the 20-over format of the game. Rohit is in second place with 1161 runs to his name in 36
