English legend Gary Lineker believes that that Spain are the favourites to clinch the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026, but did not rule out the possibility of France or Argentina adding another star to their
shirt.
Lineker also opined that the England have a solid team on paper, but the Three Lions would have to be wary of their history at the tournament.
“World Cup favorites? Spain are among the top contenders. They have a tremendous team,” Lineker said.
“England have fantastic players, and of course they have a chance, but as we know historically, it’s very difficult for our country to win the World Cup,” he added.
“I also give France and Argentina big chances, especially since Argentina still has — let’s not forget — Messi at a very high level,” he added.
