Shah Rukh Khan’s son, Aryan Khan, recently made his directorial debut with The Ba***ds Of Bollywood. The debuted on Netflix recently, and Anya Singh, who plays manager Sanya, has emerged as one of the
breakout stars from the show. Now, in a recent chat with Galatta India, Anya was asked about Shah Rukh Khan’s involvement on the sets.
Anya Singh said, “He didn’t come to the sets a lot, but of course, he was there from time to time. He gave Aryan that space and respect as a director. He understood that this was Aryan’s project, and it was his creation and dream. Whenever he came to the sets, he came as a father or maybe as a producer.”
She added, “But he never came to the sets and gave his own opinions on how things should be done. It was all Aryan. I am sure he must have taken some advice from him during the writing process, but he never intervened during the filming.”
Anya Singh said, “He is the most enigmatic human being I have ever gotten to interact with. I still can’t understand how he is able to give anyone so much love, respect and importance. He makes you feel valued, and he does that with everyone. I would get nervous acting in front of him, but I got the chance to talk to him off-screen and on a personal level. I even went to his home, and he knows my name, so for me that is a big thing.”
Anya mentioned about Aryan and SRK, “Both of them are very strong individuals, and they are their own person. Shah Rukh’s sir journey makes you realise that he is very courageous, and what Aryan has done with his show also displays that same courage.”
“Whatever they feel like, they will do, and they will do it the way they want to. But they also do that with a lot of respect and love. Like his father, Aryan will also drop you to your car and will offer you a chair the moment he realises that you are standing next to him,” she concluded.
