Everything About Navratri 2025
It is that time of the year when devotees worship nine forms of Goddess Durga, known as ‘Navdurga’, with unmatched enthusiasm across India. Each day of Navratri is dedicated to a specific form of Goddess Durga, namely Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kaalratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri.
This year, Sharad Navratri commenced today, September 22, and will culminate on October 2. The nine-day festive period symbolises the victory of good over evil. During these days, devotees also observe a fast and perform Ghatsthapana, Durga Chalisa, Durga Saptashathi Path, Durga Aarti and Kanya Pujan.
