So… Who Is Niharika NM?
Niharika NM is an Indian digital content creator, actress and internet personality best known for her high-energy comedy videos and relatable observational humour. Born on July 4, 1997, she first gained popularity through her viral short-form content and has since built a massive online following of over three million across social media platforms.

She has collaborated with several Indian and international celebrities, including Priyanka Chopra, Aamir Khan, Mahesh Babu, Ranbir Kapoor, John Legend, Rocking Star Yash and Shubman Gill.

First Indian Creator On Big Mouth
One of Niharika’s biggest milestones came when she became the first Indian creator to make a guest voice appearance on Netflix’s globally acclaimed animated series Big Mouth Season 7, sharing space with stars like Megan Thee Stallion and Jordan Peele.

Awards And Recognition
Niharika has received several prestigious honours over the years. In 2022, she won the Youth Icon – Entertainer of the Year award at the World Influencers and Bloggers Awards (WIBA) in Cannes. The same year, she was featured in the Forbes Asia 30 Under 30 list, followed by a spot on the Forbes 100 Digital Stars list in 2023.
She has also been recognised with awards such as Grazia’s Digital Creator of the Year, Entrepreneur India’s Entertainer of the Year, and the MensXP Digital Disruptor award, among many others.
Acting Career
Apart from creating digital content, Niharika has also stepped into acting. She has appeared in South Indian projects including Perusu, Mithra Mandali and Idhayam Murali.
She is now all set to make her Bollywood debut with the comedy-drama Bhai Tera Star Hai, starring alongside Raghav Juyal as his love interest. The film is scheduled to hit theatres on July 31.
Niharika NM’s interview
Speaking exclusively to CNN-News18 Showsha recently, Niharika NM had opened up on her transition to films, saying, “When I had moved to Bombay three-four years ago, I spent three years training under a production house. I had gone to film school and I’ve a background in theatre.”
“I definitely wanted to give acting a shot. I didn’t know how far it would go or what I exactly wanted to do. All I knew was that I was passionate about it and I enjoyed it,” she added. However, she soon decided to stop trying her luck in Bollywood and began auditioning in the south film industries, attributing it to Hindi cinema’s unrealistic beauty standards.
“I tried in Hindi films first but I didn’t enjoy the standards that were set for women – how they should look or how their skin tone should be. I thought that it’s not the space I should fight in. It was also a very crowded space,” Niharika said. Then she went on to sign a three-film contract with Karthik Subbaraj’s production house, Stone Bench Films.
