Mohsin Naqvi Under Fire As Pakistan's Misery In England Deepens: 'Worst Board In Last 70 Years'

Former Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Rashid Latif has said that not just the team, but the board, selection committee and the coaches are the worst that Pakistan has had in the last five to seven decades, after the Babar Azam-led team succumbed to a series defeat to England on Sunday, August 30.

The poor performances have been so severe that, as per reports, sections of the British media have labelled the current Pakistan team the ‘worst Pakistan side in 50 years’.

Latif agreed with the assessment but was quick to highlight that the current PCB regime has also failed to cover itself in glory.

“Everyone is talking about the Pakistan team and how it’s the worst touring team in the last 50 years. But nobody is speaking about how the current board is the worst in the last 70

years,” Latif said while speaking on Geo News.

Following Pakistan’s embarrassing defeat, Latif slammed the PCB, calling it the “worst cricket board in the past 70 years.”

“Nobody is talking about the worst selection committee and coaches. If you combine these issues, you will get the answer to your question. You will know who has ruined this team,” Latif said.

“Now you are losing consistently. This is the worst cricket board; that is a fact,” Latif added.

Pakistan’s batting lineup has struggled throughout the series, with the visitors yet to cross the 200-run mark in any innings. Babar missed the series opener, but his return was expected to provide a boost to the batting unit.

But Babar endured a series to forget, managing scores of just 8 and 6. Jofra Archer, in particular, troubled the former in the second innings, making him look out of sorts with a rising bouncer.
