India Refuses Asia Cup 2025 Trophy And Medals

The Asia Cup 2025 ended in a surprising twist as India, despite winning a thrilling final against Pakistan, refused to accept the winner’s trophy or individual medals. The Indian team declined to receive the trophy from Asian Cricket Council (ACC) President Mohsin Naqvi, who also serves as the chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Pakistan’s Interior Minister. Reports suggest the decision came in response to Naqvi’s controversial social media activity during the tournament.

The last two matches between India and Pakistan were controversial too. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav refused to shake hands at the toss and the team also left the field without exchanging handshakes with the opposing players.
