Katrina Kaif's Fans Upset, Shut Down Fan Account Amid CJP Protests: 'You Do Not Have A Spine'

A group of Katrina Kaif’s fans is upset and disappointed with her for not speaking up in support of students protesting in New Delhi against the NEET exam paper leak. On Tuesday, admin of one of actress’ fan pages announced that they are shutting down the Instagram handle because they do not want to support anyone who does “have a spine to speak for Indians”. The Instagram fan page is named ‘katholic_fans’ and has over 70,000 followers.

‘I have been your fan since childhood, but you can’t say a word for us Indians and students who love you from the bottom of our hearts. You don’t have the spine to speak against the government. You betrayed us when we supported you at your lowest. I am unfollowing you and closing this fan page. You don’t deserve

it,” the fan page wrote in a statement.

Soon after the post was shared, several social media users reacted to it and praised the decision. “Respect for the admin,” one of the users wrote. “I am glad you’re closing fan page,” added another.

Katrina’s Fans Defend Her

However, some of Katrina Kaif’s fans also defended her, saying she can choose what to support or not. “If you live in a democracy, so does she. If you can choose what you want to support, so can she. And if you can’t support her for what she chooses to support—even if you completely disagree—you were never a true fan. Also, stop blackmailing people over who they support. She’s an adult, and she knows what’s right and what’s wrong,” one of the fans wrote.

It should be noted that while Katrina Kaif has not issued any statement, as of now, regarding the ongoing CJP protests, several other Bollywood celebrities have openly expressed their support to the students. Among others, Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta, Riteish Deshmukh, Sonu Sood, Sonakshi Sinha and Prakash Raj have voiced their concerns.
