Veteran Bollywood actress Meenakshi Seshadri delighted fans by reliving treasured moments from her early film career on a recent nostalgic beach vacation in Mumbai. The actress called outdoor shots “close

to her heart” and posted a set of pictures from a beach near the locations of sequences from her classic flicks Hero (1983) and Meri Jung (1985).

In an Instagram caption, Meenakshi wrote that the location brought back fond recollections of her formative years in movies amid tranquil sea views and sunshine. “Visited the beach near where we shot for Hero and Meri Jung. I love outdoor shoots,” she wrote.

Hero and Meri Jung: Meenakshi Seshadri’s Iconic Beginnings

The beach stop was a nostalgic trip back to some of Meenakshi’s most important cinematic achievements. Hero, directed by Subhash Ghai, marked a breakthrough for both Meenakshi and her co-star Jackie Shroff, who made his debut in a lead role.

The romantic action movie, which followed a hitman whose life changed after falling in love with his victim, became a beloved classic.

In another 1985 Ghai film, Meri Jung, Meenakshi starred alongside Anil Kapoor in a gripping courtroom drama in which a son battles to defend his father’s identity following an erroneous conviction.
The movie also had prominent actors like Amrish Puri, Nutan, Javed Jaffrey, A. K. Hangal, Kushboo and Parikshat Sahni, demonstrating Meenakshi’s versatility in a variety of genres early in her career.

Her last appearance was in Rajkumar Santoshi’s 1996 Hindi-language action movie Ghatak: Lethal, which also starred Sunny Deol, Amrish Puri, and Danny Denzongpa.
