If you’ve been anywhere near a cinema hall lately, you already know the vibe… packed shows, loud cheers, and that one entry scene everyone is waiting for. Dhurandhar 2 isn’t just running in theatres right now, it’s turning every screening into an event.
The Ranveer Singh-led spy thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar, has emerged as one of the biggest performers of the year. Within just 11 days of its release, the film crossed a major milestone by overtaking the lifetime earnings of its first installment, Dhurandhar. It also went a step further, surpassing the Hindi version record set by Pushpa 2.

According to Sacnilk, Dhurandhar The Revenge
has collected Rs 846.87 crore in India so far. With this, it has moved past Pushpa 2’s Hindi version total of Rs 812 crore. At the same time, it has also outperformed the original Dhurandhar, which had recorded a lifetime domestic collection of Rs 840.20 crore.
The film’s performance globally has been equally strong. At the worldwide box office, Dhurandhar 2 has earned Rs 1,361 crore, crossing the first film’s total of Rs 1,307.36 crore. The steady pace of collections indicates that the film could continue setting new benchmarks in the days ahead.

Amid its box office run, the film has also sparked some debate online. In an interview with Zoom, actor Aditya Uppal, who plays Omar Haider in the film, addressed claims that the film promotes a particular narrative. He said, “Even if some people interpret certain aspects differently, that’s their perspective and it should be respected. The majority of the audience has appreciated the film and understands that while it is inspired by true events, it is still a cinematic adaptation. I would just say that before calling it propaganda, people should watch it with an open mind,” he said.
Dhurandhar The Revenge features a large ensemble cast, with several actors reprising their roles from the first part. Arjun Rampal returns as Major Iqbal, Sanjay Dutt as SP Chaudhary Aslam, R Madhavan as Ajay Sanyal, and Rakesh Bedi as Jameel Jamali. Sara Arjun is back as Yalina Jamali, while Danish Pandor plays Uzair Baloch and Danish Iqbal appears as Bade Sahab (Dawood Ibrahim). Manav Gohil and Saumya Tandon also return as Bansal and Ulfat.
The film is currently running in theatres and is expected to premiere on JioHotstar after completing its theatrical run.
