A ruckus broke out at Relief Hospital in Maharashtra’s Palghar after a dispute over the medical bills of injured Govindas, with members of the Shiv Sena allegedly assaulting a hospital employee.
According to the complaint, Shiv Sena’s Palghar district president Kundan Sankhe and Rohit Gavit, son of MLA Rajendra Gavit, were among those allegedly involved in the incident.
A total of 17 people have been booked in connection with the case. An FIR was registered at Palghar Police Station.
During the commotion, a hospital employee was allegedly assaulted. It has also been alleged that a woman doctor at the hospital was questioned and spoken to in an abusive and inappropriate manner.
The incident was reportedly captured on CCTV cameras installed inside
the hospital.
Police have registered a case, and further investigation into the matter is underway.
