After director Homi Adajania, actors Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna have also denied playing lesbians in Cocktail 2. Moreover, they revealed that all three lead characters in the film are straight, and that, contrary to rumours, there will be no threesome among them in the film. Besides Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, the highly anticipated sequel also stars Shahid Kapoor as the lead.
At a recent promotional event, Kriti Sanon said, “There is no lesbian story.” Rashmika Mandanna laughed and said, “But we do have that chemistry.” Kriti added, “There are three straight people, guys, relax. It’s an emotional film; there is no physical threesome.” Rashmika said, “Watch the film, guys. You will enjoy.”

and Rashmika denied the steamy rumours circulating about Cocktail 2 by u/ChampionshipEarly530 in BollyBlindsNGossip
Previously, some reports claimed that the film will feature Rashmika and Kriti as queer people. However, the Cocktail 2 cast and makers clarified that this speculation was not true. During the film’s trailer launch, Rashmika was asked about speculation linking her and Kriti as a couple. Responding to the question, Kriti suggested that the rumours seemed to be originating from a single source, a remark that Rashmika appeared to agree with.
“I think the rumours are coming from one place only,” she said, to which Shahid joked, “I didn’t say anything, guys. Why would I want it that way? I have nothing to do with that? Kaha se aa rahe hain rumours?” Director Homi Adajania explained, “This is where the rumour came from. We were all sitting on the set…”
He added, “They (Kriti and Rashmika) definitely get a little cuddly with each other because they are friends. And we just hypothetically thought what if the story was about them and Shahid was the third wheel? And I said I wouldn’t mind making a movie like that.” Producer Dinesh Vijan then clarified, “So there are two love stories. Purana love and naya love and ye Luv (Ranjan). Aur kuchh nahi hai kisi ka love nahi hai is picture mein.”
Cocktail 2 is about to be released on June 19, and fans are eager to see if the sequel can add to the legacy of Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone and Diana Penty’s original film.
