'Sarkar Par Bharosa Rakhna Zaroori Hai': India Cricket Legends Appeal For Patience Amid CJP Protest

Amid the ongoing protest, led by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) in New Delhi since July 20, former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh and Shikhar Dhawan have urged patience while showing sympathy to the students who have been impacted. CJP has been demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over alleged examination irregularities.

On Wednesday, the Delhi High Court asked the Centre and Delhi Police to respond to PILs alleging excessive use of force against protesters during the July 20 march to Parliament.

It also directed the authorities to preserve all relevant records related to the police action, including CCTV camera footage and any videography.

Taking to social media, Dhawan said it’s important to understand the aspirations

of our youth, but also equally vital to have faith in the national institutions and government.

“Youth is the future of our nation. It is essential to understand their dreams, but at the same time, it is equally important to maintain patience in difficult times and keep faith in the country’s institutions and government. I believe that the solution to every challenge emerges with patience. India has always moved forward and will continue to progress,” Dhawan wrote on X.

Legendary all-rounder Yuvraj Singh echoed the views.

“To every child, student, woman and man: you deserve the opportunity to learn in peace, grow with safety and chase your dreams. Your well-being is the foundation of a brighter India. Let’s come together to build communities of care, opportunity and hope. Through dialogue we can find an amicable solution for the sake of India’s future,” he wrote on Instagram stories.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said the welfare of the country’s youth is the top priority of his government and asserted that anyone trying to harm their future will not be spared.

In his message on X, Modi also said that the government has decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks.
