New Delhi, Jul 31 (PTI) HDFC Securities on Friday said its discount broking platform HDFC SKY and full-service offering InvestRight cater to different investor segments and are designed to complement each other.
The clarification came as competition in India’s online brokerage market continues to grow, with more retail investors choosing digital platforms that offer low brokerage, faster account opening and mobile-first investing tools, according to a company statement.
“HDFC SKY and InvestRight have distinct roles despite operating under the same brand. HDFC SKY is built for a different investment journey. The distinction between the two platforms is intentional,” said HDFC Securities Chief Marketing Officer Puneeth Bekal.
According to the company,
InvestRight caters to long-term investors, high net worth individuals and corporate clients, with research-backed investment decisions, wealth management and dedicated relationship managers.
HDFC SKY, on the other hand, targets self-directed investors with a flat brokerage of Rs 20 per executed order, zero account opening charges and the flexibility to link accounts from any bank.
HDFC Securities said the launch of HDFC SKY is intended to broaden its presence in the retail investing market rather than replace its existing brokerage business. PTI HG MR
