Ali Fazal Gets Emotional Over Fans’ Love
Gaiety has long been one of Mumbai’s most iconic theatres, and seeing his film play to a packed audience there was a moment Ali had always dreamed of. Sharing a video of him greeting a sea of fans gathered outside Gaiety, Ali Fazal wrote a note thanking them.
“Every actor who comes to Mumbai dreams of one thing… seeing their film play to a packed house at Gaiety. Last night, I stood there and watched it happen. Didnt mean to get emotional. .. just love for all of you. Seeing Gaiety housefull for Mirzapur: The Movie , standing there with my wife , was one of those moments that will stay with me for a lifetime . Like i said yeh aapsabka pyar hai jisse hum hain.. aur kahaaniyaan sunaani ki chul hai humein. Thank you for making Guddu Pandit yours,” he wrote.
The video shows Ali getting emotional as he waved at his fans outside Gaiety and told them, “Main aap sab se hu. Yahi se aaya hu main. Ye film aap sabki hai, aap sab ko chalana hai. (I am because of all of you. This is where I have come from. This film belongs to all of you, and it’s you who have to make it a success).”
Richa Chadha Reacts
Ali’s wife and actor Richa Chadha also noticed just how emotional he had become. She left a playful comment under his post, that read, “An emo man is a sexy man.”
Ali’s Guddu Pandit has become one of the most recognisable characters to emerge from the Mirzapur franchise. What began as an OTT character has now made the transition to cinemas, with audiences continuing to show their affection for the character.
