Elon Musk Could Become World's First Trillionaire, Overtake Bezos And Other Tech Titans Combined

Elon Musk could soon become the world’s first trillionaire, with his projected wealth potentially surpassing the combined fortunes of the four people currently ranked behind him on the rich list.

The Tesla and SpaceX chief, whose fortune is currently estimated at around $273 billion, could see his net worth soar if the planned public listing of SpaceX goes ahead and investors value the company at the levels some analysts expect.

According to estimates cited by CNN, Musk’s wealth could rise by another $841 billion, taking his net worth to roughly $1.11 trillion. At that level, he would be worth more than the combined fortunes of Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin, Oracle founder Larry Ellison and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, whose combined wealth is estimated

at around $1.09 trillion.

The potential milestone would come less than two years after Musk became the first person to cross the $500 billion net worth mark.

However, there is a major caveat. Musk’s fortune largely exists on paper and is tied to the market value investors assign to his companies. Any sharp change in valuations could significantly alter those estimates.

The speculation comes amid growing interest in Musk’s business empire, with some analysts even floating the possibility of a future tie-up between Tesla and SpaceX.

Wedbush Securities analyst Dan Ives recently said the “groundwork is already in place” for the two companies to eventually come together, pointing to their overlapping leadership and growing business links. SpaceX has already purchased hundreds of millions of dollars worth of Tesla’s Megapack energy storage systems to support its artificial intelligence infrastructure.

For now, all eyes are on the proposed SpaceX listing. If the company commands the valuation some investors expect, Musk may soon find himself in a league of wealth never before seen in modern business history.
