Skipper Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed a 24-ball 68, featuring 10 sixes, as India U-19 secured an eight-wicket win via the DLS method, achieving an unassailable 2-0 lead against South Africa in the Youth ODI series on Monday.
India had earlier clinched the first ODI by 25 runs using the DLS method at Willowmoore Park.

For the second time in the series, inclement weather interrupted play, causing a significant delay due to lightning, and the target for India was revised to 174 runs off 27 overs.
The Indian skipper launched an attack on South African pacer Bayanda Majola at the beginning of the eighth over, hitting 6, 6, 6, and 4, before being dismissed in the subsequent over. His wicket left
India at 95/2 in the ninth over while chasing the hosts’ total of 245.
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi holds the record for the two fastest centuries in Youth ODI cricket. He scored a 52-ball century against the England U19 team in July last year and a 56-ball ton against the UAE U19 team in December.
India U-19 were at 115 for two in 12.5 overs when the lightning struck. Play resumed briefly, but the game was called off when India U-19 reached 176 for two in 23.3 overs.
Before the interruptions, Sooryavanshi unleashed a flurry of 10 sixes and a four to score 68 off just 24 balls, seizing the game from the opposition.
Vedant Trivedi (31 not out off 57) and Abhigyan Kundu (48 not out off 42) were at the crease when India was declared the winner.
Earlier, Jason Rowles’ impressive 114 (117 balls; 7 fours, 3 sixes) helped South Africa reach a total of 245, with the hosts being bowled out in 49.3 overs.
Kishan Singh delivered a spell of 8.3-1-46-4, while RS Ambrish took 2/47.
