Gaya Ji (Bihar), Aug 10 (PTI) A Bihar Military Police (BMP) constable died during a training session in the state’s Gaya Ji district on Monday, an officer said.
The deceased, identified as Nikesh Kumar (27), was a resident of Khagaria.
The incident occurred at around 7.30 am when the constable was undergoing training at the BMP camp, Bodh Gaya SHO Arvind Kumar told PTI.
During the training, he fell on the ground unconscious and died while being taken to a hospital, the officer said.
The body was handed over to the family after the postmortem.
“Prima facie, it appears to be a case of heart attack. The exact cause of death would be clear after the postmortem report is received,” the SHO said.
BMP-3 Commandant Upendra Prasad expressed grief over the
incident and said there was no information that Nikesh Kumar had any pre-existing illness. PTI CORR SUK NN
