Celebrations at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja pandal gave fans something extra special. Kajol managed to do the unthinkable as she made Jaya Bachchan smile, laugh and even pose happily for the cameras. Surprised? Even we are.

Every year, Jaya is seen offering prayers to Maa Durga during the festivities at Mukerji’s pandal. However, she stood out with her appearance this year, thanks to Kajol. She, being her lively and mischievous self, first posed with Jaya Bachchan and then cheekily left her midway, urging her to go solo.

Before this, on Saptami, Kajol was seen hyping up Jaya’s appearance, telling her she was “looking so good.” “Main aa rahi hoon aapki closet raid karne ke liye (I’m coming to raid your closet),” Kajol was heard saying in a video from their reunion at the pandal on Monday. The clip also saw the two of them sharing a warm hug. While Kajol sported a yellow-beige-pink saree, Jaya picked a golden-beige drape for timeless elegance.

Jaya Bachchan’s Film And Political Career

As for their film front, Jaya Bachchan is not very active in cinema due to her commitments as a politician. She currently serves as an MP in the Rajya Sabha from the Samajwadi Party (SP). Her last film was Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, starring Alia Bhatt and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.

Kajol, on the other hand, has had two releases this year – Maa and Sarzameen.
