(UP), Sep 15 (PTI) A 50-year-old former village head and Samajwadi Party politician was shot dead on Tuesday in Ganga Nagar here, police said.
Pawan Yadav, the SP district secretary, was talking to someone when the attackers arrived on a motorcycle, opened fire, and rode away.
Yadav received the shot in his back and was rushed to SRN Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, the police said.
