Mumbai, May 5 (PTI) Train services on the Diva-Panvel-Roha route were affected for around two hours on Tuesday night after the pantograph of a goods train locomotive got entangled in the overhead equipment (OHE) between Panvel and Kalamboli stations in Maharashtra’s Raigad district, officials said.
The incident occurred on the Up line around 9 pm involving the goods train going from Panvel to Taloja, they said.
Following the incident, power supply to the Up line OHE was switched off at 9.05 pm as a safety measure.
As a result, the movement of several trains, including the Mumbai CSMT-Madgaon Tejas Express (22230), Mandovi Express (10104) and the Thiruvananthapuram Central-Mumbai CSMT Express (16334), were affected, officials said.
Nearly two hours
later, the OHE was restored and declared fit at 10.50 pm, following which train movements resumed on the affected section, officials said.
The incident occurred on busy Diva-Panvel-Roha route, which generally used by Konkan-bound trains. PTI KK NP
