The 26-year-old right-handed batter from Yorkshire, who made his Test debut for the Poms on September 8, 2022, at The Oval against South Africa, entered his name in the history books on Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) by becoming the fastest batter in the world to score 3000 runs (in terms of balls taken) in Test cricket.
Brook needed seven runs in the fourth Test of the 2025-26 Ashes series to join the 3000-run club in Tests, and he achieved the objective during his 41-run knock on Friday (December 26) in front of more than 93,000 fans.
