The poster read, “They said it was only a story. They tried to silence it. They tried to discredit it. But the truth didn’t stop.
Because some stories don’t end. This time, it goes deeper. This time, it hurts more. Beyond The Kerala Story.”
Previously, an independent source from the industry told us, “The Kerala Story 2 is filmed already in an extremely controlled and secured manner. Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah did not want any troubles to erupt during the shoot schedule.”
We heard that the set functioned under tight security, with strict confidentiality protocols and a no-phone policy enforced to protect the film’s content. “The cast and crew reportedly had no access to their phones during the shoot, so nothing could leak from the sets,” said the source. The source further revealed that, as per an exhibitor, the release date of the film had been locked as February 27, 2026.
The Kerala Story, despite being mired in controversies and facing protracted litigation and protests in certain Indian states, earned recognition at the 71st National Film Awards. It won two awards in the Best Direction and Best Cinematography categories.
