Prabhas’ highly anticipated action drama Spirit is inching closer to production, with the makers already unveiling a special teaser on the actor’s birthday. While the buzz around the film continues to intensify,
particularly with reports claiming that Don Lee and Chiranjeevi have joined the project, director Sandeep Reddy Vanga has now addressed the swirling speculation.
Is Chiranjeevi Part of Spirit? Vanga Clears the Air
Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who recently attended the pre-release event of Jigiri, was asked about the rumour that Megastar Chiranjeevi has been cast in Spirit. The filmmaker did not mince words—he clarified that Chiranjeevi is not associated with the film in any capacity, shutting down the chatter entirely.
Don Lee Rumours Continue as Vanga Chooses Silence
However, when the conversation turned to Korean star Don Lee—best known for Train to Busan and The Outlaws franchise—Vanga offered a more cryptic response. He neither confirmed nor denied Don Lee’s involvement, choosing instead to remain tight-lipped. The filmmaker hinted that an official update could be expected soon, adding fuel to the already burning fan theories.
Over the last few months, several reports have asserted that Don Lee would be joining Prabhas in the film, making this silence even more intriguing. For now, fans will have to wait for the makers to make things official.
What We Know About Spirit
Directed and written by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Spirit marks his first collaboration with Prabhas. Touted as a high-voltage cop action drama, the film will see the superstar step into the role of a fiery and uncompromising young police officer. Triptii Dimri has been cast as the female lead, with Vivek Oberoi and Prakash Raj also playing significant roles.
The film promises Vanga’s trademark intensity, scale, and emotional heft—elements that have become synonymous with his storytelling.
Prabhas’ Upcoming Films
Meanwhile, Prabhas is gearing up for the release of The Raja Saab, a horror-comedy-romance directed by Maruthi. The film revolves around a young man who plans to sell his ancestral mansion for a massive profit, only to find his life disrupted by the vengeful spirit of his grandfather.
Starring Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and more, The Raja Saab is slated to hit theatres on January 9, 2026.
The actor is also set to headline Hanu Raghavapudi’s upcoming period drama Fauzi, adding yet another ambitious project to his packed slate.
