(Maharashtra), Sep 8 (PTI) Police on Tuesday raided a gambling den operating from a licensed sports and cultural club at Manjarsumbha in Beed tehsil and seized valuables worth Rs 72.86 lakh, an official said.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Bharat Pandhare and his team raided the premises of Rituraj Cultural and Sports Club and found tables and chairs arranged for card games, multiple decks of playing cards, multi-coloured gambling tokens, membership ID cards and attendance log registers.
A case was registered against 19 persons at Neknoor police station under Sections 4 and 5 of the Maharashtra Prevention of Gambling Act. Further probe was on. PTI COR KRK
