Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy Gets OTT Release Date, New Poster Out

Anurag Kashyap’s much-awaited thriller Kennedy is finally releasing. And the film has now locked its OTT release date. Along with the announcement, the makers have unveiled a striking new poster that perfectly captures the dark and gritty mood of the film.

Taking to its Instagram handle, Zee5 shared the poster featuring Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhatt. The caption mentioned its release date, “Darker, deadlier, and undeniably Kashyap. The world-celebrated story of Kennedy is finally coming home on ZEE5 #Kennedy, the most awaited film premieres 20th Feb, only on #ZEE5”. Fans also reacted. One of the fans wrote, “finally”.

For the unversed, even though Kennedy has not been released in India yet, it has been receiving

a lot of love worldwide. In 2023, the film received a 7-minute-long standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. Later, it was also screened at the Sydney Film Festival when it received a standing ovation from the audience. Kennedy was also screened in India at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival.

Previously, in an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, actor Abhilash Thapliyal, who also plays a key role in Kennedy, also talked about the film’s pending release in India. “There is just one person who can answer this, it is Anurag (Kashyap) sir. I am sure Kennedy will be out soon for the world, for the audiences to see. It is an amazing film. We took it to Cannes last year. It was a very proud moment for all of us. Having Anurag Kashyap as a director in your IMDb list is a big thing for any actor. I am lucky to have him as a director. I don’t know when will Kennedy be out but I hope it comes out soon and people get to see the Anurag Kashyap magic one more time,” he said.

Written and directed by Anurag Kashyap, Kennedy has been produced by Zee Studios and Ranjan Singh Kabir & Ahuja of Good Bad Films. The film follows a sleep-deprived police officer on a quest for redemption amidst diverse situations.
