Andhra CM Naidu To Join PM Modi For Sathya Sai Baba Centenary, Launch Major Farm Aid Scheme

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is set for a busy schedule on Wednesday, beginning with a high-profile joint appearance alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Puttaparthy to commemorate the centenary birthday celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Following the spiritual engagement, the Chief Minister will pivot to a significant agricultural initiative in Kadapa, launching the distribution of crucial financial aid to farmers.

As per the official itinerary, the Chief Minister is scheduled to arrive in Puttaparthy on Tuesday night ahead of the event. On Wednesday morning, he will officially receive Prime Minister Modi at Puttaparthy airport at 9.25 am. The two leaders will then proceed to Prasanthi Nilayam to offer prayers at the Sathya

Sai Baba Maha Samadhi before heading to the Hill View Stadium, where they will participate in the centenary birthday celebrations, organised as a major public event.

After bidding farewell to the Prime Minister at the airport, the Chief Minister will travel to Pendlimarri in the Kamalapuram constituency of Kadapa district. Here, he will preside over the launch of the second phase of funds distribution under the Annadata Sukheebhava scheme. This substantial financial package integrates with the central government’s PM Kisan scheme, ensuring that each beneficiary farmer receives a total aid of Rs 7,000. The programme is set to benefit a staggering 46,85,838 farmers, with the second phase alone involving the distribution of Rs 3,135 crore. Cumulatively, across both the first and second instalments, the state will have disbursed a total of Rs 6,309.44 crore to the agricultural community.

Following the launch and fund distribution ceremony, the Chief Minister is scheduled to interact with party cadre and local officials before concluding his day and returning to Amaravati by Wednesday night. This dual schedule highlights the state’s focus on both fostering spiritual and cultural heritage and delivering substantial economic support to its vital farming sector.
