Hyderabad, Sep 8 (PTI) Three inter-state drug peddlers were apprehended after a Hashish Oil transportation network was busted and 12 kg of the narcotic substance worth Rs 1.5 crore was seized from them here, police said on Tuesday.
Acting on credible information regarding transportation and intended delivery of Hashish Oil, police conducted an operation in Kushaiguda on September 7 and apprehended three persons from Andhra Pradesh before they could hand over them to the intended recipient, Malkajgiri Police Commissioner B Sumathi said in a release.
Police seized 12 kg of Hashish Oil, three mobile phones, and one bag from the possession of the three accused persons and took them into custody for further investigation.
On the modus operandi of the accused
persons, police said the accused were allegedly functioning as carriers/peddlers in an organised narcotic transportation network, facilitating the movement of Hashish Oil from the Narsipatnam/Chintapally region of Andhra Pradesh to Hyderabad for onward delivery.
Further investigation is in progress to trace, apprehend the absconding accused–(suppliers), identify the intended receiver, establish the complete source-to-destination supply chain and identify other persons involved in the procurement, transportation, distribution and sale of Hashish Oil, police added.
