A bunch of workout videos have been doing the rounds on social media and people cannot stop talking about them. It is being reported that these were from gyms in Pakistan. They show people working out in ways that are far from usual. What really caught attention is not only the odd use of machines but also the fact that many of them are exercising in their regular clothes instead of gym wear.
The short videos are now being shared widely with viewers finding them both funny and strange. Here is a closer look at what these unusual workouts look like.
Man Using Cable And Dumbbell Together
In the first video, a man is seen stretching a cable with one hand while carrying a dumbbell in the other. He pulls the cable and does a squat at the same time.
A flag of Pakistan can also be spotted in the gym. The way he mixes the cable stretch with a weighted squat is what made this clip stand out.
Woman In Burkha On A Sit-Up Bench
The second video features a woman dressed in a burqa and a hijab. She uses a decline sit-up bench but not in the usual way. With her feet locked in place, she bends back and then comes up, while at the same time doing repeated bench press movements. To mark the level she has to reach while bending, two dumbbells are stacked one over the other.
Shoulder Raises But Not With Dumbbells
The third clip shows a man working on his shoulders. Normally, one lifts dumbbells for side raises. But here, he is holding short stools in each hand and lifting them to the side.
Man Goes In The Air
The last video shows another man sitting on the floor holding cables that are usually used for chest workouts. When he pulls them, the setup suddenly lifts his body upwards.
What People Are Saying On The Internet
As the videos started circulating online, they became a source of jokes.
One user commented, “Question: Kyu nahi aa rahe Olympic medals? Answer: This video (Why aren’t Olympic medals coming? Answer: This video).”
Another added, “Pakistan never disappoints in any type of jokes.”
“Scientists in Pakistan discovered new muscle groups,” someone else remarked.
“Gym instructor be like, jiske hath mein jo samaan aaye usi se exercise karo (Gym instructor be like, use whatever item is in your hand to exercise),” read another comment.
While the videos have attracted wide attention for their unusual routines, News18 cannot confirm the authenticity of them.
