England are taking on Panama in their third and final Group L match of the FIFA World Cup 2026 on Saturday (Sunday IST). For the clash at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, England manager Thomas Tuchel has made several changes to the starting XI.
Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka, Barcelona’s Marcus Rashford, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jarell Quansah and Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers have replaced Anthony Gordon, Noni Madueke, Reece James and Declan Rice, respectively. In addition, Manchester City’s Nico O’Reilly has come in at left-back in place of Tottenham Hotspur’s Djed Spence.
The inclusion of Rashford, Jude Bellingham, Quansah and Harry Kane in England’s starting XI against Panama has ended a 76-year-long streak.
For the first time in FIFA World Cup history,
England have fielded a starting XI featuring four players who play their club football outside England.
Against Panama, England will field a World Cup starting XI with four players from non-English clubs for the first time.

A win over Panama in the ongoing match will guarantee England a top-place finish in Group L. However, if the match ends in a draw, the winner of the Ghana vs Croatia clash at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia will finish at the top of the group standings.
