Pictures of Gera’s on-screen look have been circulating on social media, leaving fans stunned and many asking, “Is this really Gaurav Gera?” Now, the creator behind his transformation, makeup artist Preetisheel Singh, has shared a video on Instagram revealing the entire makeover process.
In the video, Gaurav is seen undergoing an extensive makeover as makeup, prosthetics and hairstyling gradually transform his appearance, adding age and a realistic salt-and-pepper beard. The end result is mindblowing and almost unrecognisable, showcasing the actor’s range and the craftsmanship of the makeup team.
In the caption she wrote, “Recognise Gaurav Gera @gauravgera in Dhurandhar? Most didn’t! For his character in Dhurandhar – Mohammad Aalam, we etched a lifetime into his features: softened lines, a natural salt-white beard, textured aging, hair cropped to character. Every ‘I didn’t recognise him’ felt like the work landing exactly where it should, but above all, it celebrates Gaurav’s versatility and the ease with which he steps into a character.”
