New Delhi, Jul 30 (PTI) LIC Housing Finance on Thursday reported a single digit growth of 9 per cent in its net profit to Rs 1,488 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal.
The LIC-promoted housing finance company had reported a profit of Rs 1,360 crore in the year-ago period.
However, the total income declined to Rs 7,066 crore during the June quarter against Rs 7,233 crore in the same period a year ago, LIC Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.
The company’s interest income also fell to Rs 7,024 crore from Rs 7,113 crore in the first quarter of the previous fiscal.
During the quarter, total expenses moderated to Rs 5,177 crore from Rs 5,534 crore a year ago.
On the asset quality front, LIC Housing Finance’s gross non-performing assets
(NPAs) improved to 2.14 per cent from 2.62 per cent at the end of June 2025.
Similarly, the company’s net NPAs too declined to 1.12 per cent in Q1 FY27 from 1.3 per cent in Q1 FY26. PTI DP SHM
