Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan Johar shared a series of photos and wrote, “27 years!!! Some beautiful and candid memories from our set of #KuchKuchHotaHai…a set filled with love, too much banter and happiness. Thank you to everyone for the love you continue to give this film…it means everything to me! @dharmamovies.” As soon as he shared the photos, fans too reacted. One of the fans wrote, “A Master Piece. A Film Ahead Of Its Time.” Another wrote, “Pyar dosti hai can never forget this movie ever . Rani’s introduction scene , kids , everyone , Loved this Era of films.”

Well, now he has reacted and requested people not to misconstrue or misquote his comments. He mentioned that he will be always proud of Homebound and also hailed the success of the film. Taking to his Instagram stories, Karan Johar slammed the media for misquoting his statement. “I humbly request my friends and members of the media to not miconstrue or misquote my comments on our film HOMEBOUND.. it was an academic chat on the business of our movies… I am and will always be exceptionally proud of HOMEBOUND… it will always shine in our reportoire of films as one of our finest and most sensitively performed and directed films…. We are actively working towards making our film get a large audience and presence on a global stage and are thrilled with the day on day increase in domestic footfalls as well…”

This comes after Karan Johar’s recent appearance on the Game Changers podcast, where he spoke about profitability as a producer. Karan said, “I made Homebound, worldwide critically acclaimed, but I can’t say if I’ll take such decisions in the future or not. I will feel upset, but I chose this deal (with Adar Poonawalla) for a reason – growth. Growth comes from profit, and profit comes from profitability. I will always be artistic, but it is important to be commercial as well.”
