Mirai Box Office Day 3: Teja Sajja Film Stays Strong, Inches Towards Rs 50 Crore

Teja Sajja’s big-screen return with Mirai is proving unstoppable at the box office. The action fantasy opened strong and has only climbed higher through the weekend, closing Sunday with a sharp surge that took its three-day total past Rs 45 crore worldwide.

Mirai’s weekend numbers

After pulling in Rs 13 crore on its opening Friday, Mirai kept the momentum with Rs 15 crore on Saturday. The real jump came on Sunday when the film earned Rs 17.33 crore, its highest single-day figure so far. With this, the Karthik Ghattamaneni directorial has notched up Rs 45.33 crore in just three days.

According to early data, the film clocked an overall Hindi occupancy of 31.38% on Sunday, pointing to growing interest among cinema-goers across regions.

The latest numbers also put Mirai ahead of Teja Sajja’s last blockbuster HanuMan, which had collected Rs 16 crore on its third day. The comparison has further fuelled buzz around Mirai, which is now being hailed as the actor’s biggest opener yet.

About the film

Mirai follows Vedha (Teja Sajja), a young man destined to rise as a super Yodha and take on Mahabir Lama, aka the Black Sword (Manchu Manoj). Mahabir is on a quest for nine sacred grandhas linked to Emperor Ashoka, hoping to unlock immense power. To stop him, Vedha sets out in search of Lord Ram’s mythical weapon, Mirai, sparking an epic battle between good and evil. The film wraps up by hinting at a sequel, keeping audiences hooked for more.
