‘Sir, Mere Gaon Mein Road Banwa Dijiye’: Farah Khan Reacts As Cook Dilip Makes Honest Appeal To Nitin Gadkari

Farah Khan’s latest vlog began like any other fun, casual episode. There was laughter, easy banter, and a friendly meeting. But the moment that really stood out came when her cook, Dilip, made a simple and honest request to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, catching everyone by surprise.

The choreographer-filmmaker recently dropped a new episode from her YouTube channel, filmed at the Delhi residence of the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways. Farah was joined by Dilip for the meeting.

As the trio met, Farah greeted Nitin Gadkari with a handshake, while Dilip touched his feet as a mark of respect. Setting the tone for what was to come, Farah introduced the moment with a laugh and said, “Itne bade aadmi hamare vlog pe kabhi nahi aaye hain.

Iski ek request hain. Ye bar bar aapko irritate karega aap sun lena (We have not had such a big person in our vlog so far. Dilip has a request, and he might irritate you but do listen to him).”

Without missing a beat, Dilip made his request directly to the minister. “Sir, mere gaon mein na ek road banwa dijiye (Please make roads in my village)!” he said. Dilip belongs to Darbhanga in Bihar.

Farah’s reaction was instant and priceless. She smacked her forehead and responded humorously, “Aree! Sir itne bade bade flyover, expressways bana rahe hain (He has made big flyovers and expressways)!” Dilip, however, stayed firm, adding that proper roads in his village would make a big difference. Nitin Gadkari listened with a smile, clearly amused by the honest appeal.

Farah has often spoken about how her vlogging journey began during a break between film projects. She started her cooking vlogs in 2024, and over time, the videos gained a strong following. Much of the popularity has come from her easy banter with Dilip, who has since become a familiar face online.

With growing fame, Dilip has gone on to feature in advertisements with Farah and has even appeared alongside celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan.
