Beed, Apr 4 (PTI) A 40-year-old man died when a jeep crashed into his motorcycle after a tyre of his two-wheeler got stuck in a deep crack on a road in Maharashtra’s Beed district on Saturday, police said.
The incident occurred around 5 pm near Abujwadi cross road in Majalgaon tehsil, they said.
Victim Ashok Jija Goje was travelling towards Majalgaon when one of the tyres of his motorcycle got trapped in a gaping crack on a highway stretch between Khamgaon and Pandharpur, police said.
Just then, a jeep approaching from behind hit him and sped away. Goje was rushed to the Majalgaon Rural Hospital, where doctors declared him dead, the official said.
A case was yet to be registered, he said, adding that the victim is survived by his wife, a son and
